A.11 JBOD
JBOD (“Just a Bunch of Disks”) focuses on individual drives. The operating system sees each drive as an individual drive
in JBOD mode. Therefore, the total capacity of JBOD is the sum of the capacities of each disk. This allows the user to
add disks until the desired total capacity is reached. However, there is no RAID protection in this mode.
JBOD: Spanned disk array without fault tolerance
