LCD, Push Buttons and LED Indicators
The alphanumeric liquid crystal display (LCD), push buttons, and LED indicators are located on
the top half of the front panel. They are shown in Figure 3-1, and described in the table below.

UTS Controls and Indicators Summary
Control or Indicator Description
LCD alphanumeric display The green liquid crystal display (LCD) is a 2-line display with 20 characters
per line that is used to show UTS status, and any important warnings or
informational messages. During configuration and setup, the LCD also
displays the value or setting that is being entered and/or changed.
System Status button This button is used to cycle the UTS through the various system options or
settings, which are displayed on the LCD.
System Setup button This button is used to configure or change the UTS system settings.
Circuit Status button This button is used to cycle the UTS through the various circuit options or
settings, which are displayed on the LCD.
Circuit Setup button This button is used to configure or change individual UTS circuit settings.
Down/Up Arrow buttons The Down and Up arrow buttons are used to step through the various options
during configuration and setup, and to scroll between the various status and
informational displays.
Source Indicators (Green) The three green LED indicators on the front panel under Source show the
status of the power sources, which include: Utility, Generator, and UPS.
When one of these LEDs is ON (lit) it indicates that particular power source
is normal and available.
When a LED is OFF (not lit) it indicates that the source is not available to
supply power to any of the loads on the circuit.
When a LED is flashing it indicates that a fault or abnormal condition exists
that should be corrected.
